RCA Small Wonder Display
Chicago Show worked with RCA to develop a compact, yet compelling point-of-sale merchandising fixture for their new Small Wonder compact video recorder and docking station. This exciting new product from RCA is a compact camcorder that can record up to 60 minutes of video and then either download the content to a computer or use the available docking station to edit and burn the content onto a DVD. The docking station is also a DVD player and recorder.
RCA wanted a compact display that had the versatility to be placed in any store location at retail, including countertop, gondola shelves, pegboard and slat-wall. Chicago Show's design team developed a solution that consists of a 2-piece metal fixture that allowed retailers the flexibility to merchandise the Small Wonder and the Docking Station together as a package or separately in different locations in the retail outlet.
The Small Wonder is featured on its half of the display permanently mounted to a spinning pedestal to allow the consumer to see both sides of the product without the retailer having to worry about pilferage or having to keep the product in a locked display case. Both the Small Wonder and the Docking Station are highlighted by red vacuum formed accent pieces under the product, and the acrylic discs on the back panels provide visual interest for the product, as well as providing copy areas and pictorial vignettes.
